BIOGENESIS PROJECT FOR LOWER MANHATTAN

Is a narrative piece that explores the idea that local plants that have been eradicated by development can take back the city and co-exist with humans, providing clean air whilst at the same time making their presence known and respected. Rather than genetically engineering plants for ourselves we could engineer them to grow on buildings with a little interventionist spirit. We intend to distribute seeds of indigenous plants to people after showing them these images as a source of inspiration. This is a participatory interventionist project
